Well if you are talking about the stock ASA that would be found on the bottom of your grip frame there should be two screws that go through the adapter itself (aftermarket ones with rails etc. may have different means of tightening).

But if you mean the vert ASA that your foregrip etc. is attached to than you will first have to take your expansion chamber/gas through/gas line off. Next you will probably need to find a 12/14pt hex in the right size (sorry it's been a long time since I looked). I'm a fan of using the right tool for the job, but if you feel adventurous or can't get a hold of the correct tool you should be able to get enough torque with a pair of needle nose pliers.

if it's the Vertical ASA it's a 12 point 1/4" socket...not the easiest thing to find. I suggest putting some blue loc-tite on it before re-installing. Don't lose the little o-ring that goes between it and the marker body.

reviving a dead thread...

I just had this problem and discovered that I was able to re-tighten the vert asa 12-point socket screw using a 7mm 6-point socket. Probably stripped the head of the screw a little, but I loctited that sucker down so hopefully I won't have to deal with it again.
