Lol I think your trying to say acetone and I don't believe that will work. Acetone can be used for removing ink from paper without damaging the paper (yes its what people used to do to forge checks until they had security measures). So I doubt it would work on anno, but I may be wrong.

Yes acetone is also a nail polish remover and a super glue remover. It also cleans and thins acrylic and can dissolve plastic.

I did use oven cleaner, ruber gloves, and some paper towels. Be very careful if you try this and read the instructions on the oven cleaner and follow their precautions (other then heating in a oven). Remove the part from the marker and any orings, spray it with oven cleaner and let it sit for a few minutes, whipe it with a paper towel, then repeat until all the anno is off. Make sure you dont get any oven cleaner on anything you dont want damaged though, as it will even discolor bricks.
I am not responsible for any damage done by trying this either.

If I may suggest to be EXTREMELY cautious on doing this, you risk the fact that you could damage the parts you are attempting to stripe. Acetone will not strip anodized layer off of Al, Acidrain has a pic of a Timmy sent to him that a guy tried to strip himself, it has more potholes than the moon. Again be careful, and NEVER leave it unattended. (Had an old shoebox shocker sent to us that was stripped so badly that the pits were internal and external to the point of almost swiss cheese. I dont think it worked after he did it.)

No putting it in the oven is not necesary at all. Just putting the oven cleaner on, wiping it off, rinse, repeat if needed is all you do.
As gruntbull said be very very careful doing this, and also make sure you are outside with plenty ventilation as the fumes can get strong. I dont recomend doing it either. IMO it would be much better to get on the parts swap section of FO and trade with somone that has silver parts.

If you really love and respect your fusion... patience is a VIR TUE... (please dont flame for passing the filter, I mean the actual word not the company), either do it right or not at all. Just my two cents.... Even if I think I could do it, if the risk factor outweighs the neccesity, why risk it... better to have a fusion that look like every other one on the planet then to sit out a day markerless, or with something less then what I had...
