I dont mind people being taught from a different angle but when there is no science of any form backing something like that, it seems kind of scary. That just sounds like plain brainwashing to me.

I am sorry for offending you, however, if I was YELLING AT YOU, IT WOULD LOOK LIKE THIS, since I wasn't I am not sure what the problem is. I merely posted links that already were discussing the issues you raised. if you are truly wanting to discuss them, feel free to follow those links, read what has been posted and reply.

"carbon" dating can only be done with biological samples.

Christians built this 27 million dollar museum? Just checking.

Are these the same people who believe in that ancient book called the bible?

Isn't there something in the bible called the corporal works of mercy? Oh yeah those things about feeding the poor, clothing the naked, the things that Jesus says if you do you will enter the kingdom of heaven?

Yeah forget those, let's build a 27 million dollar anti-evolution museum.

sorry, but based on past polls here, it is probably not nearly that high of a percentage. maybe you would like to start another to prove your statement of fact? Surely you aren't talking about the entire human population with your "all".

though you are assuming those other things aren't happening, aren't you. even if they are not, what is a "corporal works of mercy"? - oh wait - you are talking about a RCC teaching - http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/10198d.htm.

not that it's not applicable, but this is not a protestant "doctrine" (as named). And I am pretty sure this museum is not RCC based.

i just think there is a much better use of 27 million dollars than building an anti-science amusement park.

and i say amusement park for a reason, were not talking about a museum here.

I may or may not agree that I personally could do something else with the 27m. but that's really besides the point, since I don't have 27 M, or more to say that I would use it for a museum.

As for your amusement park comment - you are free to make that kind of judgment if you wish, I disagree, but you can believe what you want. I think that the museums that have faulty information about stratification and "fossil ages", etc... are silly to me, but I wouldn't say they are amusement parks - but that's just me and my opinion. you are free to yours.

Are you telling me there is a group of Christians out there that doesn't believe in the corporal works of mercy? I don't see how it has to do with teaching or doctrine at all. It is in the bible, the new testament. I don't want to go further as I can't really believe any Christian wouldn't accept the corporal works of mercy as a teaching.

yes, many. especially because the "corporal works of mercy" is taught as a RCC doctrine. most (non RCC) Christians believe in compassion and taking care of orphans and widows, etc, but the name "corporal works of mercy", in and of itself is a RCC doctrinal teaching, and is widely practiced.

Just like I could say (and have used this example before), that many (non RCC) Christians believe in the immaculate conception, but when they come to understand the "real" meaning in the RCC doctrine and that it is directly related to Mary being born sinless - many (again, non RCC) Christians will change their mind on that topic)

"mercy showing" is a "good" thing, but is not a "requirement" in being a "Christian". I would personally like to see more, but that's just me.
