Is the STO ram loctite'd from the factory? I need to know if I need heat to get the hex end off?

Yes, you'll need heat to get it apart. Most of the time, the pump arm is also lock-tited to the ram shaft, and it's really important that you heat that up before trying to remove it. I bent my ram shaft trying to unthread it from my pump arm.

i got it apart with hand tools and no heat. It looks like red loctite from the WGP factory but it's really weak. I'd like to know where to get some instead of using blue loctite for reassembly.

you can use Blue locktite with no problems most times (unless it's REALLY beaten to death)... in fact, some of my rams are 'hand tight' & that's it!

Most times WGP re-locktite's everything they don't want the public to mess with, cuts back on their in-house repairs & warranty work
