I would have exptected more from MVP than this over simplification of the creation story.

How is this an oversimplification of creation?

Extrapolation, maybe.

...of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
Thats kind of the belief system I would like to have, buy can't come across. Does the argument about man also pertain to the fact that men wrote the Bible? And that God wasn't deceptive, but the men writing mispercieved or completely changed what was said?

And no one is wrong, but no one is right. God is a higher being, it's impossible to know what it wants or thinks. Organized religion is just a theory to do so, which I respect completely. I would never say a persons belief is wrong, because I have no answers myself, but I would say their motives are. Like the WBC.

But I hate when people (not you, just me ranting) are like "God wouldn't make a gay person" or something like that. Who is anyone to question God? I have no real faith, other then me being a deist, and I don't even question God. Why do people in an organized religion feel the need to be "devout" but ask questions that don't need to be asked?

It's been argued before that the six "days" were simply metaphors for eons/eras/whathaveyous.

Not sure if this has already been stated somehwere else in this thread but... eh
