help me, d50 problem, trip in 3 days, video up!
ok, so today i woke up and decided "hell, il shoot a little this afternoon" so i go through my day at work, i come home, get my d50 out of my bag, i grab my good o'l kit lens and i test out the camera before i go to take a walk and its doing something weird, after like every other shot the mirror stays half open and on the top lcd screen it says "err", to get the mirror to move back into the regular position i have to push the shutter button a few times, to explain it i made a video which is uploading, i have a trip to Italy, Greece, and Germany which i am leaving in 3 days, help me please.

have you tried it with another lens to see if it's the body or the lens?

oh.... I just watched you video... I misunderstood what you were saying before. That problem won't have anything to do with your lens...
that's weird. have you checked the troubleshooting section of your manual?

your best bet may be to bring it to someone that can fix it, because if you waste time, the less likely you are to get it back in time.

i think i found the problem, with the li-ion battery w/o the battery grip it works fine, but with alkaline battery's in the battery grip it does that, i am going to buy some nimh rechargeable battery's, and some li-ion battery's today and see if it makes a difference. the main reason i got the battery grip was so i could use regular AAs, but i guess we will find out of using nimh or li-ion AA's will make a difference this afternoon.

The li-ion battery doesn't last long enough for you? I can shoot hundreds of photos all day and it's just fine.

Be a friend and buy my ion! It's got a nice VP trigger, a CP 2-piece barrel, and a nice Unimount. Check it out.
