Some Campus Shots

I finally got out today on this gorgeous day with my Canon Powershot S3 and I think I took some decent shots with the manual. This was all done on campus, I go to the University of Toledo in northwest Ohio.

Well 3 things.

1) Most people on here wont want to troll through another webstie. In the future its a good idea just to chose maybe the three or four best shots and post them up.

2) I did in fact look through all the pictures. I thought they were pretty boring. There weren't really any subjects in any of the pictures, the colors were kinda dull, and the scenery wasnt really too interesting.

3) Like I said about subjects, or the lack there of, a lot of them were hard to tell what the subject of the photo is. What am I supposed to focus on.

Just some thoughts, keep at it.

Haha well I never expect to start at the top of the game.

I am actually surprised at how sharp and crisp the pictures were. I wish i had a DSLR, but this cam works as a learner.

Right on the money. I'm very tired of having flaming break out when some guy thinks he's above C and C.

About DSLR's-They will help you step up your game. If you could sell your camera and make some money you could probably get a decent camera. First, keep messing around and trying stuff out on what you have now.

I actually just bought this camera lol, back in Februry. I am learning all about aperture and shutter speed and stuff, I am hoping to take a beginners class in April to help me get some of the basics down

before stepping up in cameras work on composition and interesting angles. i could see a lot of those having potential if taken differently.. if u can go back and reshoot... do try and get angles that people dont usually see.. dont shoot at eye level and try harsh angles.

of course I can go back out and shoot, as long as it doesn't go back to snowing here haha. I will go back later this week...right now I am watching Dog

What do you mean not shooting as eye level?

Don't shoot from 6 feet up in the air. Get low, or high. Whichever one works better for the situation.

Everyone sees stuff at eye level every day. Give them something that's not mundane.
