Just finished 1st PC five minutes ago. Problem #1, please help

Well my previous problem was that the stuff would turn on and then after 5 seconds reboot automatically over and over. Now I finished it all, everythings installed etc lights turn go boom. Drives work etc, But after 1-5 minutes (differs each time) it will just turn off out of no where, then it can turn on like nothing happened.

Gigabyte 965P-ds3 mobo
8800GTS
2g Gskill ram
Seagate 320g Harddrive
Coolermaster Centurion case
Liteon Cd drive
Intel core 2 duo 1.83 ghz processor

Sounds like your power supply. What brand and how many watts are you running. Also check ALL of the wires in your computer and make sure they are plugged in nice and tight.

Well what are your specs and what CPU are you using. Make sure everything is plugged in right and tight. If that isn't the problem turn ALL the lights and everything off and unplug them and see if that works. It kinda sounds to me like you got a lemon PSU or you don't have a powerful enough PSU.

Edit: just saw you put the specs up there

It turns off even when the GTS isn't in there so the PSU shouldnt have been overloaded or anything. Wouldnt that mean its not the PSU?

It sounds like you could have a faulty psu on your hands. If you get the same problem without the gts than the psu shouldn't be underpowering your system.

Do you have both the 24 pin motherboard and the 4 pin cpu connectors connected?

I just used a Xclio 460watt Stablepower last night to build my new computer and it posted on the first try.
