A Linux Rig

Okay, I'm a nerd and I like have toys, so please don't say I don't need it or anything.

I just got a sick new PC, I love it, great for gaming, video editing (going to college next year for it), I have a new monitor, new keyboard, new a lot of stuff.

I have an old hunk of **** computer also, which I love and used for 4 years until I got my new one. It sucks, but I want to see if something can be done with it.

Basically, I want to turn it into a Linux Rig, and since Linux OS's arn't huge into gaming, would I need that good of a rig to run Linux pretty smoothly? I plan on doing most of my necessary work with my new computer, but was wanting to try Linux also.

Any idea? I'll get the specs soon, but I mean, it's 4 years old, so it's pretty busted.

Edit - My bad, I seriously just saw the Linux Thread. Mods, feel free to close this if you want.

brickwall329 helped look for balloons
Couldn't you just dual boot Linux on your new PC?
