That could happen because the Earth is at about the time when the magnetic poles actually will switch, since the last time that happened was like 90,000 years ago. We'll see, but I doubt there will be any crazy event.

Its December 23rd, not the 21st.

And I think everyone is going tobe sorely dissappointed, since our entire calender system is off by 4 years. Our year zero, in BC and AD terms, is actually entirely off. So, technically, 2012 will be...next December.

Which is actually fitting, for reasons only I will know, since if I share them, you guys will probally say I am crazy or an idiot.

The whole thing with the poles changing is that it will cause crazy things to happen. For example plate techtonics will kick in and masses of land will seperate and certain masses of land will simply sink into the sea.

And to everyone who is talking about the Myans. I dont care about them. It is Edgar Casey(sp) who im believing. He said that the world is gonna end in Dec. 21, 2012. He also said that the poles are what is gonna start the apocolypse, and that there will be suddle clues in the climate to show that this is coming. (Has anyone noticed the wierd weather lately?), He also said that the world has already ended and restarted 5 times.
