You can use your hand, a sheet of paper, brick, anything you want, even a car door!
P.S. When asking a question, it's a good idea to say what you're trying to do.
The only thing someone would do logically do with a Hyper 2 involving a strap wrench is maintenance.
The strap wrench is a rubbery loop-tool that wraps around an object and gets a firm grip on it as you tighten it. It is the cleanest way to remove the sections of your Hyper 2 without scratching the body. A substitute would be a thin towel and a strong set of pliers or other gripping tool.
The matrix family has been known to have problems with reg threading compatibility - it's because of the way they are milled. The fit of an aftermarket reg is essentially hit or miss. I tried to get a CP reg on my PM6, and I couldn't get it to fit, even after trying five different ones.
