It increases the stored air's pressure to fill HPA tanks.

apparently its a piece of equipment that will allow you to acheive higher rates of air storage with a less than adequate compressor.
You can get a pic on ebay or google.
You should also check out the time that it takes one of these units to actually fill your tank. To me it makes more sence to go with a nice bulk fill system or invest in the real deal.

It doesn't inscrease air capacity.

A booster is pretty much an air compressor outside of another one. They will take the output of a lower PSI output compressor and boost up the PSI.

a booster is an air compressor that also runs on compressed air. it needs a ~120 psi shop air supply to run it, then usually ~1000 psi to feed the input side, and then it outputs higher psi.. in our case 3000, or 4500. it fills a large ram with 120 psi air to push down on a very small chamber of 1000 psi air to compress it up to 4500. it does this repeatedly until the 4500 psi side reaches full pressure. (in this case, when your paintball tank is full)

what this allows you to do is continue filling paintball tanks to 4500 psi even when your stored air is lower pressure than that.

so if I were to use my garage compresser that does like say 100 PSI i could use this to fill my tank to 3000 PSI?

You would still need a primary input pressure a lot higher than your garage compressor. That means bulk tank(s) or a compressor.

Not quite. The booster will allow you to get more out of the air you already have. If the bulk tanks at the field are at, say, 2000psi, I could still fill customers' HPA tanks higher than 2000psi with a booster.
