LT to skip out on Pro Bowl?

I've heard from a few people that LT will not participate in the Pro Bowl because Bill Bellichick is the coach. Anyone in SD heard more on this? I understand LT was pissed after the game and all, and I give him credit for sticking to his guns, but that could be a bit too far. I mean, I know he called him classless and all, so I dont blame him for not wanting to play in the Pro Bowl for Bill, but yea....interestingly enough.

Thoughts?

Being in the Pro Bowl is an honor. If you blatantly refuse the privilage, that basically a slap to the face in the NFL's eyes. If this is confirmed true, I honestly don't know what to think about it.

I agree with him. The Patriots players were out of line, and the coach is ultimately responsible for the way his players behave.

Yes, because we all know the coach can control a bunch of millionaire adults.

If LT cherishes his image at all he will go to the Pro Bowl. He has already tainted himself in my eyes for whining about the Meriman dance. Why the hell did the dance exist in the first place if for no other reason then to taunt the opposing team.

Grow some balls LT and suck it up.

The probowl is retarded, if I were a player I would never go, it's just a chance to get hurt.

Or make sure that your team wins... To the victor go the spoils. I think LT just can't handle losing and had to make any excuse to get mad - i would do it.

You wouldn't make it pro football son. Also it's the last game for 7 months... Even if u get hurt u have all that time to heal up... Pro Bowl is just all out fun you see the coaches in hawaiian shirts.

If you want to be with your family, possibly give someone else a shot at going if you're one of those perennial pro-bowlers or are just too hurt to play those would fall under the category of legitimate reasons not to go.

Dislike for the coach because you are a jerk like LT and have to go around calling him classless - then that is not a legitimate reason not to go.

There's nothing official. Just rumor. The other thing being rumored is Jason Taylor and Shawn Merriman playing on the same line

Well seeing that the Patriots have no class this doesn't come as a surprise. Some Patriots DB went to the middle of the field after the Charger-Patriot game and started doing the Merriman sack "dance." Obviously that is taunting, and unsportsmanlike contest. So, Rivers and LT go out there and stop the guy, LT comes off as a the bad guy? LT comes forward and says that the Patriots actions like that come from top down, and that they don't have any class. A week later the Patriots get beat by the Colts, and Peyton Manning tries to shake the hands of Bellicheck and Brady, but they both decline proving LT's point.

Don't rag on LT, he is the virtuous chivalrous one here, the Patriots are the spoiled brats of the NFL and are now getting shielded by the biggest infatuation in recent history by the sports media.

He's calling the Pats and Belichick classless, just by not showing up that would be extremely unclassy.

Also, a classy person doesn't call himself classy.

So let me get this straight...

The Pats win, and celebrate which is their right for out playing the other team on the field. They use a dance which Merriman always does to TAUNT other teams when he sacks someone and the Pats are the bad guys? LT is a poor sport is what that boils down to.

Brady not shaking Peyton's hand is a different story and that is indeed a sore loser's action on the behalf of Brady. That still doesn't change the fact that LT was the poor sport last weekend.

U say you are a better player??? So that means you are playing football at this point in your life (like high school, pop warner, college etc)? Also that statement doesn't pertain to anything. Joe never once said anything about his athleticism in this thread. The fact that you mad that statement just makes you look like a retard.
