Increase Distance for Cocker

How do you increase the distance on your cocker??? I have a cocker,w/ a few upgrades. Someone told me there is an internal piece right above the grip frame, but he called it a low pressure chamber which is external. I would really apreicate your input.

There aren't any ways to make your gun shoot farther period. But I have found that longer barrels are more accurate longer in the air than shorter ones-I'd say get a 14' or 16'-

Aside from matching the paint to your barrel you could try the following to make the ball go farther:

1. Increase your velocity.
2. Get a Flatline barrel.
3. Arch your gun.

Well, actually above 14 inches, the gun actually starts to shoot less far and less acurate. Its all because the air pushing the ball has longer to travel and more ports to seep through, if you want to know more look in the barrel section.

I play back, and between a 14" and a 16" I never noticed a difference. Balls still went where i shot em.

Buy a nice 12" or 14" barrel and use the right size brand of paint. Cockers are usually accurate to begin with. Just remember that paint/barrel match makes for a more accurate... consistent gun. Does anyone disagree?

Accuracy would be a good Paint -to- Barrel match, so get a barrel kit like a CP full bore, or Freak - from there, Accuracy would be determined by the guns ability to provide the same ammount of air for each ball fired - and the quality of the paint from ball to ball.

you can't make a ball shoot farther out of gun A then gun B. If a ball leaves the barrel at 280 out of gun A and 280 out of gun B but gun A has a lpc there still gonna go the same distance. And the longer barell thing, I use an 8 inch CP and I'm fine at 50 yds.

I think that the difference in lengths does make a difference, but it is very very minimal. Everyone just blows it way out of water! When I watch most of the professional players play, I see barrels the look to be in the 14" & 16" range.

Well, how come a guys gun- shocktech autococker, shot further than mine did and we were both shooting at the same speed. I have a good barrel, and this thread is not about accuracy.

crank up ur velocity, get a Flatline barrel and tilt ur gun 45º to get max range.

Actually, the optimal angle for maximum flight distance is something like 32 degrees, I learned that in Javelin, hehe, but its all good, no flames here....

Thats 'guys' gun most likely had a much better paint-to-barrel match, which is crucial in accuracy and effeciency-

Paint/Barrel match is the key young Jedi's. With that said, remember that paint is always going to be inconsistent in size. USE THE FORCE!

Well #1P8ntballer, you were right to an extent, but I believe this site shall show you the way, lol. 45 degrees would be the optimal angle if we didnt have this thing called air, and particularly its resistance. Lets not forget that is a bullet and this is a ball... Mabey optimm angle is like 20* since a ball is going slower and is larger, and is a sphere?
