Generaloberst Pastore had ordered Hauptsturmführer Deckmann who remained in Berlin with its Panzer division to send a detachment off the 1.SS to assist the Polizei in an effort to quell the partisans and assasinate their leader in Yugoslavia. The mission yielded mixed results though 3.Gruppe did achieve their objectives they now waited for the half tracks at their designated extraction point.
It was now just past 2 A.M. the Scharführer as a small token of his appreciation had chosen to take watch the entire night whilst allowing his men to get some well deserved sleep.... there would be plenty of time to sleep in the halftracks back to Germany, the entire ride west would be through German held Russia anyway and would probably... for the most part, be an uneventful ride... bumpy & loud but uneventful and the entire 1.SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte was due for 10 days of R&R in Northern Germany. It was at this point that the Scharführer thought he had heard the pounding of horses hooves in the distance through the unusually warm Russian November night.... the sounds grew louder and SS Sturmmann Seaman looked up from his half combat sleep to see the Scharführer spying through a hole made by a missing plank in the barn wall "What is it Scharführer?" he asked "I don't know Larry... It sounds like a horse approaching" the Scharführer replied. "can you see it?" Asked the Sturmmann, "not yet" just as the words had left the Scharführer's mouth the silouette of a horseman appeared, at first glance the silouette appeared to be a Wehrmacht soldier given away by the shape of the M-42 Stahlheim sitting on top of his head. The Scharführer had turned to inform the Sturmmann that he had a visual of the Horseman but the Sturmmann was gone just as he turned to look out of the barn he saw the shadow of the sturmmann, given away by the unique rimless shape of his jump helmet, P-38 in hand approaching the unsuspecting Horseman from the rear................

We'll show up but I doubt the Russians will! They'll be laying drunk in their tents all day.

"you're lucky you don't have a bullet in your back Broc!" Replied Larry. As the SS Mann but his hands down a large hole was visible in the right shoulder of his Tunic it was wet and glistening with what appeared to be blood. "Ivan got you?" asked Larry, "No a damn Branch" replied Broc with a smirk "Its kinda dark out here!" at that the rest of the Jagdverbande joined the 2 men, they laughed and smiled for a few moments lit up their pipes and Cigarettes, broc had carried a bottle of schnapps with him passed it around and the men all had a few sips from it to celebrate the moment...... 3.Gruppe had been detached from the rest of the Leibstandarte for nearly 3 months now!
SS Combat Medic Tommy Skalocky tended to Brocs Mishap with a branch and the SS Scharführer asked the inevitable "Broc... why have you come all this way? and where are the Halftracks?" The smile quickly left Broc's face and he reached into his right breast Tunic pocket and with his left hand, took out a piece of paper which had soaked up a bit of Blood from his wound, the SS Mann jokingly stated as he unfolded the piece of paper........
"Hope you guys weren't looking too forward to going back to Germany" with a cinical look he followed up "The Halftracks aren't coming, the Ivans have launched an offensive in the vicinity of the Moscow salient and I have been ordered to remain here with you guys until the rest of the Kompanie arrives which should be 15-20 days or so from there we will head east to Moscow! I bring with me an important communication from the Hauptsturmführer" Broc looked down at the blood stained paper in the light of the fire they had built for warmth, just then SS Sturmmann Weiss began to shake his head and blurted loudly "What about winter clothes and Provisions, its the 27 November and Im freezing my Kartofels off already! I'm sure this operation will run the course of the winter!" with a deeply concerned voice. Broc replied "Im sure German high command has taken that into consideration now may I read this communication?"...............................

The early morning air was heavy and cold, November now turned into December. Sturmmann Seaman and Scharführer Weiss Lay Motionless on top of a small knoll in the woods outside of the small abandoned Russian Village which was to be their Extraction point after the Anti Partisan operation in Yugoslavia. They lay there motionless as the crunch of frost ridden leaves was heard in the distance, the Scharführer could swear the Sturmmann could hear his heart beating as he lye prone next to him peering through his binoculars, his mouth dry like the deserts of Afrika and his hands trembling. The sound of footsteps grew closer and closer. The Scharführer still could not see the approaching objective..... finally in a low whisper the Sturmmann said "There Scharführer just to the left of the low trees 95 meters and you have a light west wind adjust accordingly" The Scharführer turned ever so slowly towards the intended target and finally he spotted it, took a deep breath and squeezed the trigger "BOOM" the report of the Mauser K98 in the still morning silence sounded like a 500 pounder meeting with its intended target, the sound of galloping footsteps running away into the forest could be heard. "You hit him!" said the excited Sturmmann "nice shot" The Scharführer was finally able to crack a bit of a smile after all the nervous anticipation as he felt the weight remove from his chest, he rolled over on his back, stared at the sky and exclaimed "thank the Lord!"
The Sturmmann hit him on the shoulder and hollered "lets go look at him" the Scharführer replied "ok lets go!" The two men approached the downed tartget with caution being sure it was dead, when they finally reached it they could clearly see the deer was dead. "nice buck Gerry" said the Sturmmann "thanks Larry.... thanks for your help" The sturmmann pulled out his gravity knife from his springerhosen, flipped out the Blade and dropped to his knee preparing to field dress the deer. "This should feed us for a week as long as we aren't glutens" he said as he dipped the blade into the deer's hide "Well........ this and we still have plenty of dried beans, I think we'll be alright until the rest of the Kompanie gets here with provisions" it was at this point a saddness felt like it engulfed the Scharführer, there was a time when he and Larry would do this for sport and the delicious venison was a bonus to the wonderful hunt, back in Hanover friends and family would gather every Autumn to hunt Stag and grouse...... here in Russia they were using their skills as a means to survive!
Lord how he missed home............

Hey Chrispy,
can you send us a map of the field???? Our team needs to start going over the lay out.
If you can mark out the new improvments you are making, fields, bunkers , bases that sort of thing.
It looks like most of our team will make it , so they want to see where we will be and where both armies will be.
Also, can you post in purple where Barney will be?
And is it ok if we put a gps tracking device in his pod juice so we can keep tabs on him all the time??? Last two request are optional.
Oh and Mariol will need walker ramps on the field, so he can get around better!!!LOL

What school requires you to quit your job and why would you agree with it?

Have you considered asking your team captain if your team due(s?) can be your booby-trapped ark instead of cash?

We don't have team dues. We're too poor as it is.

What are team dues used for anyway? I can't really imagine any situation that would warrant it.

ya lol we are using the team dues to buy things like radios and such. Our first year we depended on peoples donations and only 2 or 3 people donated supplies and that made things hard. so a standard rate for everyone is much more fair.its 10 a month but i wanna pay the lump some and get it over with.
we plan on buying radios, a banner, team barrel condoms (cuz no one remembers theirs) and more boxs to store team stuff instead of my trunk. Also when you are using 15dollar valves and regulators for your LAWs neverming the remote or the compressed air tank it gets expensive. But ill only miss a week or 2 of work so its not that bad.

Youve never ran a Team then. I dont make anyone pay dues i just ask that they pay for their own gear/Unis. it costs alot to go to a game. ive spent numerous thousands last year and enjoyed every penny of it. just to get to a game and back costs me about $300 (GAs and Trailer rental). Then you take into account alot of teams have a Website,Banners tshirts or whatever it adds up real fast.So anyone on a team should realize its not cheap. (not complaining about my guys at all they are great)
