Illusion help! trigger pull sucks
well i just got a used illsuion today, everything is pretty good except the trigger pull is really stiff. is there anyway i could adjust it? i know with normal cockers u could adjust hte lug, but there's no lug whole for this gun.
would filing off some of the sear be a good idea?
also could i change the velocity from the cocking rod hole like a normal cocker? (i know u change it from the front of hte pump handle normall)
also any upgrades, mods , or changes u can suggest to make this gun perform/look better?
thanks

Share a photo of the grip frame removed with me, (showing the top) and I may be able to help. Unfortunately, the folks who've owned these guns don't show up here very often anymore.

re:
i have an illision and you do change the fps speed by tighting down a screw inside of the pump arm.you need to buy a set of long lenth keys to fit.

You guys are a big help. You must not have taken it apart yet, so I'm going to help you with some stuff. - There is no adjustable lug. It is machined into the hammer.
- I wouldn't file off part of the sear until you have an extra. I have an estra Senti sear laying around somewhere, but I don't know if they are the same.
- There is no IVG. there is a block back there, but it wasn't made to be adjustable.
I don't know what to say about your trigger pull. I know it's stiff, so is the cocking spring. Probably the only thing to do is oil it and break it in good. Next time you are watching tv by yourself practice cocking and pulling the trigger over and over, it'll wear it in a bit and break in the springs.

The Illusion is perfect stock, there are really no mods that can be done to it, besides maybe a devolumizer for better 12g efficiency. I personally think it looks great the way it came from the factory, so dunno about that question.
Fryloc hit every other point up.
We haven't really died, it's just that my Illusion always works, so there isn't much to discuss. No new products coming out or anything...

I have an Illusion. I'm on PBN practically every day, but I only pop in here if it shows new posts since my last visit.
To the original poster: The Illusion, out of the box, has a fairly stiff trigger pull, although it is short, crisp, and with only a very negligible amount of slack. When you pull the trigger, do you feel any grating or anything that could mean that something is caught in the gripframe (sand, etc)?
As for mods... Devolumizing and stock class gear are the only things I'd recommend. Unless you run open class, in which case removing the pump return spring might suit you.
There used to be a decent AMOG on AM's webspace before they went belly up.

I hope this doesn't pull the legs out from any AM club that's in the works, but after AM's hosting plan expired I bought the domain actionmarkers.org and plan on building a comprehensive database for all things AM. Look for a new thread.

The Illusion has a very "crisp" trigger pull. It is non-adjustable, but honestly, I've been using mine for years, and have yet to complain about it. It can be a bit stiff until you get used to it.
