Yes.
Blocked off? Anodizing is an entire chemical process.

yeah you want the whole thing annoed, internals included. It isn't like paint, where it will chip off on the inside. You will have serious leak problems and problems with the bolt if you don't anno the inside as well.

No it wont, from what your saying, is the body had leaks before and only annoing will fix it. If he anno's the outside, it doesnt affect the performance inside. Thats like saying if you re-paint your car, the seats wont fit anymore
The reason it gets anno'd inside and out,is beacuse the entire body gets dipped into the anno.

hes partially right tho,
lucky has announced that unless the inside of the stage 5.1 gets annoed also, it will not function properly, according to them

In fact, you DO NEED to anno the inside. It's all about clearances. The outside is purely for asthetics, but the inside requires annodizing.
I know what you're saying about being dipped, but you might confuse people.

lol, i love how none of you have any idea what your talking about.
You can ano them and the whole part will be anodized. The tolerances will change slightly due to the process but there shouldnt be any leak issues unless the anodizer really mess' up or the S5 has such tight tolerances that any change in them would cause leaks (which shouldnt be a prob).
Lastly, you cant just block off areas you dont want anodized in a lot of cases, especially internally.
If you want any help with ano go to the ano forum as most people here dont know anythign about it.

Thats only on raw/un-anno'd bodies.

Annodizing is a thin layer of aluminium oxide that is grown onto the surface and then dyed and then sealed. I suppose if the bolt tolerances are exremely tight and the anno is to thick then it could cause some sticking. Im sure Lucky said that their new bodies need to be annoed because the bores were machined with the anno tolerance in mind.

Kind of flawed but ok. lol
On a raw S5 having to thick of an ano wouldnt really be an issue for a few reasons. I cant think of an anodizer that would use a type3 or so ano internally. They know better than to mess up tolerances.
Secondly, on anything but raw aluminum that hasnt been anoed you actually can throw tolerances off since striping any previous ano removes a layer of aluminum.

I have heard about people over annodizing their guns and screwing them up. I have a red 05 Interceptor that I have been considering sending out. But the tolerances on the 05 are so precise I am not sure if it would effect performance.

Odds are itll be fine, ive seen other Alien guns anodized and they work fine. WDP says A1 shouldnt be anodized but those have turned out fine after ano and my vik was anoed twice from its raw state (which is like anodizing it once after removing the factory ano if it had one) and it turned out fine. Botht hose guns have insanly tight tolerances and the factory suggest not anodizing them. You can mess guns up if ya ano to many times, itll really mess up tolerances.

Can you send me some annodizing seeds, in olive dust preferably, so ican " GROW " some anno .............
Actually, the part is chemical stripped of all impurities, then dried, then re-stripped, then dried, Then the part is dipped in a positvley charged anno bath, to where it sits in the bath for a pre-determined time, then removed and put into a nuterally (sp) charged bath and then baked in an oven to seal/'harden the anno.
