some new kid at my field put c02 in his ion and then he got all mad b/c it broke towards the end of the day, so buy a hpa tank, there more expensive but there defently worth it, if u dont ur repairs cost will cost more

c02 with anti-siphon or a remote will be fine. I use mine on c02 with a remote and as long as you dont get white smoke coming outa the end of the barrel you'll be ok

will work but may (is known to) cause long-term damage. hpa is the safest way to go.

Yeah you are better off buying a $60 HPA tank then paying like $70 to get your ION fixed

This goes to you asking how fast it will shoot, your gun could freeze up and you would have to wait a while.

I've heard of peoples' o-rings freezing and cracking from using CO2 and a remote coil. I've also heard that with a remote coil, you need to make sure the tank is generally upright or you'll get some liquid in the system. I don't use CO2 anymore and never used CO2 in my Ion, so I can't tell you that these facts are absolutely correct.
