bolt questions (more than one)

yo,
i was at the feild today, and took out my bolt. as i was pushing it out, it went into the dirt. now, i got all the visible dirt. then after trying to clean as much as possible (for some reason could remove the ram), i lubed it up and ready to shoot.aired it up and got a deep leak thru the barrel. took off the tank, opened the bolt back up, checked the orings i could with out taking it apart, and looked around. did nothing really, aired it up, and no leak.

so:
-do u think the dirt could have get shot out?
-if it didnt or couldnt would it be alright untill next weekend when i can re-clean it (i dont have lube or oil yet)
-would it be okay if i cleaned it now, and put the whole assemply back in with out lube or oil, but no shooting?
thanks for your help, and sorry for any bad grammer or spelling

When your reinserting the bolt if you're not careful you'll pinch the front o-ring which will make it leak alot down the barrel. When you removed it I bet you took more caution reinserting the bolt which kept the o-ring in place and there for no leak.

It seams to happen alot with people in a hurry.

hmm good point. but do u think if i cleaned off all the lube and oil and put it back in with out airing it up or shotting, that it might scratch something?

Why would you want to re-assemble it without any lube? Next thing you know you will forget, slap air to it and then be wondering why it will not perform properly.....

The only way to truely get all the dirt out is to take it apart completely (being careful with the little pieces) wipe it down, re-lube it and put it back together carefully.

You can also use a can of compressed air (used to clean keyboards on your computer and available almost anywhere) to blow it out and be sure it is dirt free.
