No, because the reffing has continued to be poor this season. THREE QUICK EXAMPLES:

1)Remember in HB where Troll of XSV was shot 3 times during the finals and was never pulled. Look up the posts from Art of Miami Rage if you don't remember the incident.
2)Remember in San Diego, NE Hurricanes bunkers the last Ironman player and steps beyond the endline on his way from the last bunker to the flag... and is called out by the rear ref, eventhough the rulebook says the player going for the flag cannot be called out for stepping beyond the endline while grabbing the flag if all opposing players have been eliminated. Rules committee decided that the ref made the wrong call on the field. That "phantom elimination" gave the Ironmen the 3 points needed to advance to Sunday.
3)Joy Division v. Dynasty in Game 3 at Orange County event... enough said

The Pro Division is the pinnacle of our sport, so the NPPL should protect that asset by opening their wallet and paying for the best officiating crew they can assemble and creating a system to handle controversies professionally. Having an "Ultimate Ref" say "I don't give a $%^& if you(Dynasty) win... I don't give a $%$% if you(Joy Division) win" prior to giving his ruling is highly UNPROFESSIONAL.

reffs made a call from the rule book and not like u can change time bro. what was called is called and they made a good call bro. u cant change what happen but the refs made a good call and dynasty won. so yea....

No, they did not make a call from the rule book. You would realize this if you watched the vids a few times. Dan Perez specifically states that he called the 3-for-1 because the Joy player played on WITHOUT an armband. In reality, that armband was NEVER pulled during the game. To make matters worse, Brian Cole's armband was removed before he hung the flag.

The refs made the wrong call because they were confused, end of story. This is why I think they should use video replay in the semis and finals.

Now, as for WDP dropping their support as a result of this error... It would certainly get a point across, and might seem like the right thing to do in the short run. If they did that and the NPPL submitted, the doors would be open for all kinds of abuses by the league's business partners, and this is never healthy. If WDP can challenge a call or suspension by threatening to drop support, what next? Will DYE coerce the NPPL giving the Ironmen a break next time an important is on the line? Will PE try to suspend players that give XSV a hard time? Business control of the league can only lead to bad things.

Well as far as WDP, i would not drop my support of the NPPL, they (JOY) are getting more press than when they won Boston. The press covarage dosent hurt WDP. If that was the case, then sponsors would drop teams or players more often. Ask Chris Lasoya, and after his team trading, not too many people care where he is and what he shoots. This too will pass, but I agree with the call..heck i sat in the capatan's meeting, and the bulk of it was about making sure the reffs were amking the right calls, and improving the ref staff. So good work dan and the crew, keep getting better. I am pretty happy with the calls in the OC, cant be perfect, but it is much better.

No that is really stupid, last time i checked Angel is not the only platnium sponsor. And if they pulled out of US paintball that would serverly hurt their gun sales, so if you feel that JOY won thats fine, there are plenty of people that doubt the outcome of the civil war also.

Well just off the topic somewhat... I think they should use video reply on all games... if a player is caught cheating after the game the end result in a pently and could change the out come..... For one there is way to much cheating going onstarts with the so called pro's and works it way down to the walk on games..... there is reason for this...... there is no honor anymore.....

I bet after 3 games the cheating would be down 95%..... and you would call yourself out.... It would suck if you win a game with 6 people left to find out 5 of them cheated and you lost the game because it..... ??????

In the financial situation the NPPL has been lately, they need all the cash they can get. If they were to lose a platinum sponser that would sereverely hurt them.

Don't you guys realize that wdp basically owns Pure Promotions? Wdp basically owns the nppl. And why would wdp drop sponserhsip of the nppl? Hundreds of bad calls happen, to teams of all companys. Who cares? Its not a reason for wdp to drop promotion of a league. This thread is childish.
