Don't know how much the Onyx is, but it looks interesting.
I don't like angel ones personally, so I'd say go with the Onyx.
At least you can change the reg.

id personally go with the a1 because you never need an upgrade and cp has a special adapter where you can put on your own reg if you please but the stock one is great and the only thing better then it is a 2 liter. Also, have you looked out how good they warrenty, thats gotta tell you something, def go with the a1.

you can't just read the specs and assume it's already alot better.
i own both markers A1 and ONYX.i had the ONYX first before the A1.
the ONYX is great with effieciency shoots nice.but IMO the A1 is lighter
faster, nice trigger.the modes are really easy to use.put the joy/rage settings and ur set.A1 is not as good on efficiency as the onyx. but i was able to use 7pods and a hopper with 68/45 4000 psi fill. a lot of people including myself was probably worried about all the complaints about the A1 having problems.but that's only a few of them. all markers go through that.few ONYX owners ended up with some bad ones too. you get a barrel kit with the A1. it still comes down to personal prefferece.

Personally I'd wait another 4-6 months before you make that decision.
Regarding the WDP marker-release cycle, a new marker is due for release in two to three months.
I'd wait on it.

reasoning regarding the WDP release schedule is not accurate. WDP has finally realized the gold mine they have and will nto be releasing a new angel until next year. Hence the reason a used A1 stock still sells for $1000... used
Preference is what will decide it for you. A high end gun has ALOT of advantages... and where there are advantages there are disadvantages.
With my A1... IMO... there is a main disadvantage you want to check out...
The other team...will hate you

wrong. i talked to owen at OC and the A1 is their primary 07 gun. they will however be releasing a speed version around march that will just have minor cosmetic changes and will be priced under $1000.

you will not be able to get an unbiased answer as the WDP forums awe ALWAYS crawling with fanboys.
shoot both. and come to your own conclusion.

While I do like Angels, I'm personally just not a huge fan of the A1.
The Marq is pretty nice though. I'll probably pick one up myself after Virtue comes out with a board for it.
