It's steel so I'm pretty sure the cocking knob wasn't shot off. It may have come unscrewed and fallen out while shooting, but if a shot broke the knob it probably would have killed you had it hit you.

Yeah, I think it unscrewed, which is why they often say use teflon tape on them... Why do you insult a type of gun, when in reality Spyders have the same problem? Sheesh, calm down, its not just a 1 company problem....

dont mind Kev... he just likes to stick up for brass eagle for some odd reason. If 33 cocking knobs fell off yours or others guns than something is wrong.

if you worked at a field where you were the head gun tech and owned 100+ guns and went through 25-30 skids of paint a year, then you would realize how often they fall off. none of our guns have stock cocking knobs. they are all from True Value Hardware

Talking Calm down guys it's just

a cocking knob.It can be replaced.I know, because I've bought many over the last 14 yrs.Not only for my Rays, but for my Spyders,Smart Parts Boss, nelson pumps, auto cocker etc, etc! That's why it's always wise to use fine threads in high tolerance areas than coarse threads.Example:If someone redesigns a Stingray stiker, please use fine threads and blue loctite.Hope this helps.
Later,
Blackrain
