Losing reg pressure when tank is about half full.

Okay there's something that I'm seeing and I'm not really sure if it's normal or not.

I had my tank gassed up today to around 4200 to 4300 psi and the input pressure on my reg was set at around 179 psi. However, when my tank dropped to around 2000, the pressure through my reg went down about 10 psi. I've noticed this before and I thought maybe it was my imagination. So I tried refilling the tank to see my reg reading (which went back to my original setting) and then drained the tank out again with an ASA I had in my tool box. The same thing happened. Even though I knew relubing the reg wasn't going to do anything, I went ahead and tried that. It had no affect.

This definitely sounds like a tank problem to me. I think it's putting out more than 800 psi when it's full. But I'm not 100% on this. If I knew for sure this was a tank problem, I wouldn't be posting here in the Ion forum. My tank is a HP Crossfire. Opinions?

Screw in your tank all the way. Only logical thing you probably havent done yet to solve this.

It is screwed in all the way, but I do have a Uni-Mount. I heard from somewhere that you're not suppose to open the valve all the way. Is there any truth to that?

Please do not up non BST posts. If people want to answer they will.

Clean the base seal as well as the base inside the reg endcap, reassembly with no grease.
