Will the working pressure of a gun affect the kick, or will it only be affected because of the weight of the bolt???

Lets say I have 2 guns with the same internals, one at 120psi and the other at 180psi. Will I notice the difference in kick?????

if you are talking about ion then no, all kick is from the bolt coming back and that air is set by your dwell. the only difference (if all settings but psi) are the same is the amout of air coming out the barrel. Dwell affects kick.

There will be a difference but not something that you would note as unbearable. What makes a huge difference are lighter bolts.

I'd say, regarding the 120psi vs 180psi argument, that yes there would be more kick with the 180psi gun. But nothing you'd noticed if you were holding the gun right.

The best way to reduce what little kick the Ion has is lighter internals.

Just hold the gun IN your shoulder, the barrel barely moves anywhere when I shoot. I have stock internals.

I ask this because I have lucky stage 1-2, and for many of us with that set-up our pressure has to be on the 160-180 range to be at 280+fps. I wanted to know if with a firebolt (will probably run at a lower pressure) I will have less kick.

not huge, nut even a NDZ you will notice to have no kick.

The gun has kick. Put any aftermarket bolt to your gun and then tell me "kick wat... yeah you were right".

There will always be some type of kick in a gun. Some people will notice it less than others.
