What is the maximum velocity you guys can achieve currently? We may be interested in producing a high performance bolt.

Aftermarket board is going to be a while. Bob is not going to give out his eye logic to an aftermarket company. That's what makes the onyx so fast is his eye logic. and the lighterweight parts.
stock bolt kinda worries me. It looks like it will not be gental on brittle paint.

Buy the marker to find out, then you can access the durability of the marker that you seem so skeptical about.
In an earlier poll, you voted that you would never buy this marker, for that reason I'm feeling no motivation to answer an inquiry. You can capitalize off our product all you want, but if you don't support our sales, then you can kick rocks!

In that pbstar interview with Zach Long, he mentioned a magnetic trigger. Is that already in the works?

I'd love to see a Techna version of the stock trigger. The stock doesn't span out as much which gives people more finger room to walk the trigger. But that's just my personal preference..

Terry: I have never bought a new marker and likely never will. If I ever were to drop $1000 on a gun, My choice at the moment would certainly be the Onyx. I accurately answered the poll, which I assumed was the aim.
And I am skeptical, as I am of all balanced valve systems. You guys have a great design, VERY radical, and I think the experience you have with the gen4 valving system was surely invaluable, but I've seen SO many problems with shielded/balanced valve systems, it raises a red flag, because its IS another dynamic oring, another layer of complexity. Can the Onyx valve be "purged", as the gen4 valve was recommended?
Perhaps the Onyx successfully addresses the durability issues faced by just about every other balanced valve design out there, I don't know but I can surely be described as skeptical. I am not trying to bust anyone, I frankly think the Onyx is the most creative marker to come out probably since the 03 shocker. I also am encouraged by the seemingly VERY extensive testing the prototype underwent. Also, it seems that we're moving away from user adjustability and more towards a preset mowing machine with this gun, which I also like.
So, hopefully that elucidates how I feel a little better. After all, if I were a big "hater" I wouldn't be here.

It is not necesarily shielded. It has atmosphere from the bolt side. So any leak there will not build up gas, but vent it out the bolt..

This should, in theory, be much better than the old design.

It was plain that the poll was flawed from the start and if people as such as yourself would have clarified your postion as to why you voted a certain way, then I would have offered a different attitude.
I know that I am not alone in feeling the votes posted in that poll gave a perception and negativity in regarding the Onyx. Clearly a vote in the " I'd never buy it column", does not help in forming a positive opinion of the Onyx.
Look at it this way, if there was a similar poll in regards to one of your products and I or some other industry person voted the same way without an explanation, then it doesn't help your product, it may even hurt it.
You may not intend to buy our product and a non-hater, it would be welcomed to see some more support for Bob's/our efforts, instead of just looking to make money off it.
