After having my gun shipped back to me by the buyer because of a board issue, I opened the grips and to my surprise a solenoid wire wasnt even attached. I know I never shipped it like that so in anger I got to fix it. Since I wasnt in the mood to buy a new wiring harness I went out on my own. And it worked, not only did it work it has quick disconnects on the noid so no more broken wires. I dont even have to unplug the board side just slide the noid connectors off. Anyway here is my sweet how-to.

First go buy a printer cable plug from radio shack. It looks like so:
Strip your DM/ Proto (mine is a pm5) and remove your solenoid. And with a soldering iron strip the solder from the noid prongs and clean it off.
Now take your printer plug and remove the wires from it, they look like this.
Take your original noid harness and battery/trigger harness apart. On the small white clip you will see prongs holding down each wire. Lift them up with a thin flathead screwdriver and pull out each wire. Take the Printer wires and you will notice they have a very long pin. You need to cut the front half off of it and then insert your new shorter prong into the white clip. (I wrapped each pin I made in electric tape so they cannot touch and short out.) The noid wiring doesnt matter which cable goes where it works either way.

Now the solder that dye does is complete ****, so when I lightly pulled on the heat shrinked part on the trigger switch they came right off. So, use the soldering iron and remove the old crap and clean it up. (Remember which wire goes where, blue on top, yellow on bottom)
Test fitting the noid wires. Wires are connected:
Wire is disconnected (see how easy that is, they do not pull off with just a touch of a finger, so you dont have to worry about it coming undone in a game)
Testing before solder of trigger switch.
Final product, with new solder on trigger switch and new shrink wrap.
Before you can put everything back together you need to either shrink wrap or electric tape the noid connecters (only the back half). The picture above this you can clearly see the prong through the grip hole. When I put my grip fram screws back in I could see the plug through their holes which will short out the gun. Shrink wrap/electric tape fixes this issue and no metal will touch. Like I said I put shrink wrap and electric tape on all my connectors, I would rather play it save then have a random shortage because I dove to a bunker and the wiring bumped into each other.
