Leak problem

First off, dont tell me to read the stickies, ive looked through them and i couldnt find what i needed.

I aired my ion up today after recently installing a clippard qev.

A leak started in about the fron banjo area. I switched back banjo to the front and the front banjo to the back and the leak still persisted. Any suggestions on what i should do, or whats the matter?

Edit: Its a very small leak that doesnt affect performance, but its still a leak

It is probably the new QEV leaking. Make sure you have tefloned the threads really well.

Seperate the frame and body leaving everything hooked up. Turn the air on and pinpoint the leak. Also, if it is the front banjo, did you cut the hose to short or to long possibly?

Ok, so you seperated and pinpointed the leak to the front banjo.

I meant, did you cut the hose to the front banjo? Is the hose to the front banjo longer then it should be? Does it leak only when you tighten the body to the frame.

Your hose is probably to long. There should be no slack in the hose from where it connects to the banjo to where it connects to the board.

Has it leaked for all this time? If it hasn't, is the banjo tightened all the way? Did you possibly strip the threads?

Sounds to me like he either stripped the threads on the banjo itself or damaged the o-ring that seals the front banjo agains the frame...

You said you even changed banjos so I doubt it is the oring on the threads of the banjo. Did you strip the threading?

If the threads are stripped you don't have many options. Most likely you will have to buy a new frame.

If you stripped out the threads in the frame you could try to teflon tape the heck out of the banjo fitting but I doubt theres enough there to get a good enough seal around it.
HOWEVER! you could try getting one of those rethreading kits (probably be pretty hard to use on a screw hole so small, or you could go ghetto fab and get some good ole epoxy or JBweld and attach the front banjo that way. But that will make taking the marker apart that much more interesting LoL
