Dryfiring uses roughly 2 and 1/2 times as much air...But if you still don't see much of an improvement with paint, a Lucky Stage 2 will help because the firebolt only has 1 tail o-ring and the Lucky S2 has an o-ring in it to seal it off and help efficiency with 1 tail o-ring bolts.
