The isis has the lpr integrated into the back of the frame the quest it is on the front but if you look at the 2nd picture it was originally planed to be on the front of the marker like the quest. I think FIP put the lpr on the front so they could make the body more compact (lower profile).

Invert Mini. And it's not true. I wouldn't be surprised if it is a quest but it's kind of interesting...sort of the mystery marker. Does anyone actually have one?

Actually, it is true as per the Invert's designer. As was rumored months ago, Empire evidently purchased Powerlyte's design, made some notable tweaks, and this is the final product.

If that is actually true, then I wonder why the original ISIS design required an LPR. Also why didn't Powerlyte just go ahead and produce the ISIS as it was, from what I've seen of the MINI, the operating system doesn't infringe on anyones patents. Save for SP's "patent"

Empire/Invert didn't just purchase the plans for the Isis and start cranking them out (of course the original Isis had an LPR and the new Mini does not). Clearly, lots more R&D went into the design before the final product we see today. From what I overheard, the Mini IS based on the technology rights that Empire/Invert bought from Powerlyte; thus, there is no patent infringement.

It seems as though many of you are more keen on perpetuating the mystery of the Isis than to actually have resolution on the whole matter.

Thats not what I was getting at. I was under the impression that Powerlyte didn't go ahead with the production of the ISIS due to possible infringements on patents held by other paintball companys. Obviously if Empire bought the design from Powerlyte there would be no issue between them. I'm not one of your typical pbner's with an I.Q. equal to that of a peanut butter sandwich.

Mini just seems so much different than the Isis, in both form and function.

After the amount of promises and delays given by Powerlyte about this marker back in the day while it was hot on ForceOfNature.com and PBN I say screw them.

ATM they don`t even have a marker that earns them the right to have this forum, the hybrid is just a tweaked cocker and should posts regarding it should be in the mech. cocker fourm.
