Ok I can usually do all of my own timmy work and help others with theirs but I have never figured out a way to properly take off the LPR from the front block...

if no strap wrench... a vice- grip but put a towel around the metal so that it doesn't scratch the metal.

A leather belt works better than a towel IMO.

I had that same problem, i used a vise grip or even a vise with rubber inserts on the vise, and just popped it in there and turned it right out, or the vise grips just use a very thick towel, not thik like large but like threaded tightly other wise the grips go right through and scratch. then just turn it out, i think most would agree that that design could withstand some changing.

Strap Wrenches aren't that expensive at most Hardware stores. A Vise or Pliers will work with some padding but you risk damaging the anodizing. At some point, when you have more money, I suggest investing in a strap wrench or two.
