So that's why I bought a Viking!

This past weekend, I played at Skirmish USA's Invasion of Normandy. Essentially, it was 3 days of pure paintball heaven. Lots of vendors, 4008 participants, camping, etc. Anyways...

I do not believe I could have played as hard or as much as I did with a gun other than a Viking. I took it out Friday night and played for hours. All I did was put three drops of oil into the ASA before I went out. End of friday night I put the Viking down for the night. I woke up Saturday morning and played with it for 8 hours. I forgot to put oil in it before I played. Again, Saturday night I put down the Viking for the night. I picked it back up Sunday morning and played for another 4 hours. Again, I forgot to put oil in it. Through out the entire weekend, the Viking shot amazingly well. So fast, so reliable, so smooth. I loved it. Even though it wasn't all too consistant, it performed like the true champion that it was designed to be. I just took my Viking out of my gearbag to clean it. I love the fact that all I have to do is wipe the paint off.

Last year I was shooting an RT Pro at this event. I probably lost a good two hours trying to get it to work plus another two doing maintenance the day before the event. With the Viking, I did not have to do any of that. I just turned it on and ripped all weekend long.

The only gripe I have with it is the rear frame screw. It has left a small welt/bruise on the back of my thumb. If only there was a way to countersink it. Oh well...So uhh yeah, there isn't much of a point to this. I just realized why I joined the AKA Family and why I always want to be apart of it.

I concur, sadly, well not too sadly I was using my Timmy to break her in. On the beach I was reloading like every 15 seconds and shot a case of paint in about 8 minutes counting the HP tank changeover...poor poor people in that bus.

Eventhough my Viking was in the hands of a total nub it performed flawlessly, alittle aka lube Friday night and it was rollin. Once again it was good to see alot of fellow AKAers out there...who was rolin with the PBX at the Allied base towards the end of the game??? Anyone????

I was there too, with the Mod Squad. Ran about 1600 rounds through my Viking in the opening push and still had 1500psi in my tank. Just that alone proved to me that the Viking is an excellent choice for scenarios. Only problem is I want to carry more paint and can't find a pack big enough to keep up with my air tank.

Tim, that may have been PillsburyDoughboy. I think he has a PBX, not sure though.

I wish I could have a wallet that could keep up with the Viking. Damn thing ate up 2.5 cases too quickly! I just wish I wasn't stuck with an 88/45. My arms were lifeless on Monday.

Call DC, Jared has a counterbore just for this task. It makes the frame even more comfy. I'll try to get pics up tomorrow if anyone wants to see how it looks.

Well, now reading this just makes me itch to attend a big game. Sounds like loads of fun! And I'm glad that I have the Viking to go along with it.

That was the first thing I asked for when I got my viking milled. I can't believe everyone doesn't get it done, maybe nobody thinks it's doable? Just one more reason Jared is awesome.

You have no idea. I am much more a tournament player than I am a woodsball player. But damn, with 4000 other people how can you not enjoy it.

I think I'm going to get it countersunk or counterbored this winter when the Viking goes in for a tune up.

I used my Viking at OK D-Day and had a ball with it. Not a single problem with it. And it claimed the first casualty for the Germans, an officer no less.

Man you didn't have to fiddle with it? I spend a good hour or two just fixing my friends guns before I actually play, then they ask me why I don't get to play a lot I have to get them some Vikings haha. I have a timmy but I want to save up some cash after my tourney on saturday and look for a cheap viking.

yeah, with the last viking i owned, i LITERALLY did not use a tool on the thing for 3 months, including 5 events (3 5man events, 2 Xball), ~7practices, and probably 30something cases of paint. I chronoed it when i first got it, and after that, i didnt even so much bring an allen wrench to the chrono for 3 months. THe thing shot 285 every time i picked it up, never needed any matinance other than oling, and just flat out worked every time i turned it on.

I'm there. I have the most acute pangs to mow people over with uncapped PSP from atop a castle wall...hehe.

I've shot the same Viking for over a year and never made any adjustments to HPR, LPR, dwell, or really anything...since I use the same barrel and paint basically every time I go paintballing, it's 260, 261, 260, 260...every time.
