Ok, have a 2002 Excalibur with MAC 'noids in there. Runs just fine until the last game I played with it.
I was experiencing what I thought was FSDO....first shot or two would be under powered but the ones after shot fine. But here's the catch....if I waited say, five seconds (i.e. moved up or took cover etc), the marker would AGAIN experience slow velocities the first few shots. It does it all the time, I fire a string....it'll shoot low and then come up to speed....wait a few seconds, same thing happens.
I'm guessing I've lost an o-ring inside some place. Any hints as to where to start looking??
OH, if it matters, I have a Pandora and MightyMax installed.
If it is an o-ring problem, I would start with the ram sleeve. FSDO can be either mechanical or electrical. I know that WAS boards combat fsdo by opening the dwell up on the first shot, I don't know about other boards. If your ram has a lot of gunk in it, that could also contribute to this problem. The battery is the first place you should start. You will notice low battery problems on the excal long before you would on a viking.
If all else fails, call Jared at DC. He has walked me through disassembly on my excal once.
It's not the battery though as I had a fresh one in there for that game. I was going to send it off for milling eventually anyway, maybe I'll have AKA do a tuneup while it's there for tear-down and SCM.
Send it to Destructive Customs. AKA really isn't doing anything in terms of customer service these days. There's a pretty big contingent of us at Pevs with aka guns who've all sent our markers up to DC, and their service has been unbelievable.
DC is who I was going to do the milling with so that works out.
So does AKA not do any work at all on their markers now or what?
Lately, I have not read anything good about AKA in terms of gun work and customer service. D.C. is your best option. To be honest, I have received better customer service from Jared at D.C. than anyone else in almost 15 years of playing paintball.......does that make me sound old??
