Pics In Sigs again

I think that we should be able to have pics in our signatures like the good ol' days. I know that it will slow down the speed. But what if there are very specific restrictions. Let's say no gifs, and they're redtricted to a maximum of 100 pixels in heigth. And if people would rather have speed, the could choose if they want them to appear or not in the skin selections. And no advertising like so.
I think it's a good idea. They're a good way to express yourself in my opinion.

What good old days? I've been on PBN a long time, and I don't ever remember seeing sig images. The administration dislikes them, and I fully support that.

Pictures in sigs are distracting and evil.

Yeah, I'm 16. Let me pull the money out of my back pocket next to the keys for my yacht.

Whatever. I've been on a lot of forums. They all start to run together. Must have been another site.

Me too. What is your point? Don't play the age card here. I have been working for 3 years.

Whatever. I've been on a lot of forums. They all start to run together. Must have been another site.Your other forums are not nearly this big, each person adding an image would make this site so slow. Other forums have smaller amount of users, so even with those images, it doesn't slow it down that much.

I seem to recall hearing that user images just about/did crash AO's servers a while back. It got to the point there that everyone and their brother had half a screen of useless poo in their "sig lines" - images, text, links, gifs, you name it. If people could have embedded their own sites in their sigs, they'd have been doing it. Why open ourselves up to that?

i cant remember, but didnt this forum used to have a picture in your sig if you were a "autococker owner" "shocker owner" blah blah. i could have sworn pbn had it. maybe it was pbr.

but anyway, pictures in sigs would make things slow, and people would put enormous pictures in their sigs if you really want a larger sig or to have pictures in your sig, then just do this:

______________
OMG BST STUFF CLICK HERE!!
ION FST
SHOCKER fst
HOT UPPED DM4 SECKS!
(enormous large picture of your nasty self here)

and copy and paste it after every post

Not that I can recall, and I'm coming up on 4 years. I know what you're talking about, though. Seen it on other sites that are much smaller and not nearly as heavily trafficked as PBN. One in particular has little animated gif's of whatever guns you may own, and it gets a little cumbersome in some people's cases, as some of them own enough guns to outfit an X-ball team with the best in 1992's technology.

As I have said many times before. No sig pictures. Ever.

They make forums so undreadable, and annoying that I won't ever consent to it.

nooooow it's /thread

I absolutely hate it when i go to other forums and people have 400px x 400px images in their sig...Imagine if everyone on pbn had images that large? I would have to scroll for 20 minutes to reach the bottom of the page...not to mention how distracting the pictures would be.

Get a better job? or prioritize?

The way I look at it is... I'm on PbN before and after work... about 1 hr before, and 5 or so after... then on the days I'm off... Throwing atleast 30 bucks their way means nothing. For the time I am on, hell, I would do like 30 a month. The fact that it is free is nice. But when you use it as much as me, it make sense to pitch in a bit.

I do get a lot of money. I get 14 bucks an hour. And in the end about 96 bucks each day I work. I work 2 or 3 days a week. I go into a 100 degree wharehouse for 8 hours. It's only 80 outside, but the building is not well insulated. My parents make me put away a little over half of my paychecks into the bank for when I'm on my own I'm good to go. So then we get back to the car, gas for the car I'm currently using, money for the computer I'm building, and a little bit of living in between. And my mutual fund is 10, it mostly goes to luch for when I work. Story of my summer job's money. THE END!
