motherboard/ram question

hey i was jsut wondering.. well i want to build a new computer and so i thought why not get the new am2 stuff? so i was wondering if corsair value select ddr2 667:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145098
will work with the msi am2 mobo?:http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16813130048

any help would be apreciated.. i want to get good ram but i dont want to spendthe 240 for the ddr2 800

Id stay away from valueselect if I were you. I was the same when I built my system about a year ago, I was on a tight budget but value ram with a fast cpu is a waste, itll end up caping you.

And mobo wise, Ive been pretty impressed by Asus's AM2 boards, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131011

i wanted an asus one too but newegg doesnt have the non wireless edition... which was like 100 more then the other ones... this is going to be a budget build.. and the proccesser will be an athlon 3000+...so would the ram still cap it or should i jsut stay with this:http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16820145590
