dead pixel question

i just bought a new laptop and it came with a dead pixel....i have a years warranty but is there any other way to fix it without sending it back to alienware?

Shouldn't be a dead one on Alienware, that pretty much screws them over since they're supposed to be testing them. Call them up.

Ive only heard this works... move the cursor over it pretty fast for a few minutes and massage it with a q tip. Again, may sound rediculus but IMO its worth at least a try
