Because believing the Pentagon is like believing everything a politician says. They have just as much of an agenda as any politician. I don't, however, doubt the validity of the article because it pretty much says what everyone already knew. |

Really? Why don't you point me to those stories on the front pages of the Washington Post, NYT and LA Times that chronicle our recent victory in Iraq.

George Bush is a fool for doing that. He does way too many wannabe dramatic photo-ops. Yea, we whooped *** in the innitial invasion, but any real leader would see that the real war is occupying Iraq and fighting the insurgency that no doubt was going to happen.

al-qaeda killed 3000 so-called untouchable americans in one day. do you honestly believe the enemy is stupid enough to tell the world they are losing?
good moral for the troops and iraqis. but nobody back in the real world would buy this, as it's obvious propaganda. and that's why it's not being reported on.
btw the press reports EVERYTIME the president says we're doing great things in iraq, which is a lot. what more do you want from them? the president himself is telling you great things are happening in iraq...but how come he's never specific about anything other than " we're training an iraqi police force ".
