most people just buy HP tanks, simply because they can be used on almost all kinds of guns.

The only thing that limits the use of a High pressure over a Low pressure tank is, how good is your vertical regulator.

So how do you know which one to get? Why are there low and high pressure tanks? What's the difference besides the pressure.

There is no difference other then the pressure. The problem with LP tanks, is you run a slight risk of shoot down, but primarily only if you're using a crappy vert reg. If you're reg has a half decent recharge rate, you'll be fine with a LP tank. I run a high pressure, and have no problems, so I see no reason to run a low pressure anyways.

Angels (at least older ones) required LP, other than that there's no need for it.

My sentiments exactly, what on earth are you doing with that thing? Feeding an anti-tank bazooka for scenario?
