lightest air system?
ok, i have a pure energy 45/45, and its pretty heavy. my friend has a centerflag 45/45 and its very very light. problem being, i cant find any of those, anywhere. what is the next best thing, money doesnt matter too much. If i were to get a cf reg, would it make my tank lighter? any help is appreciate.

crossfire tanks are heavy. i have a legionair, it's one of the lightest tanks out. i'd say the nitro duck plasma tanks are lightest.

I have a 68/45 legionair and so far it is the lightest 68/45 I have used. That being said I have used a crossfire, PE, centerflag, java and dye.

the Guerrilla Air Ambush w/ Carbon fiber 45ci tank would be the lightest possible, but I would go 2 grams heavier and get the Guerrilla Air Assault. It is only 2 grams heavier and have extra safety features. I use Guerrilla Air Assault w/ 68ci Luxfer tank (lightest 68/45 setup possible). As stated before the macdev legionaire is also very light and well made.

Bkultra: they're talking about the system/reg there, not the tank specifically. Look at the length lol...if you find a TANK that's 2" long and weighs 121g then

I am well aware, hence I stated the GA AMBUSH/ASSAULT Reg + Carbon fiber tank. You cant say wich "Tank" is lightest since each vary from one to the next, and haveing any tank re hydro'ed will add weight.

if just replacing the reg, the lightest reg is the guerrilla air regs.

Yes if you want a Carbon Fiber tank only buy the GA reg b/c if you buy the complete air system you will get "fiber" (3yr hydro) and not carbon fiber (5yr hydro)
edit: I bought my Reg from p8ntballsteve, very good guy to deal with , http://www.skanline.com/ sells carbon Fiber tanks alone (I think they are $140)
http://www.skanline.com/pages-produc...a5ba386dda6716 <---- Smartparts Carbon Fiber tank (w/o Reg) for $140

BTW guys, the sticky that I wrote about wieghts explains that the top section is reg only, and why I put the reg only, the bottom section of the post also has bottle wieghts, so please make sure you don't just go by the chart written, but by both sections, and the advice givin in my little intro at the top.

Anyone know where I can get a carbon fiber 70/4500 stubby tank? I know that carbon fiber is in short supply, but regardless, I havent seen anyplace selling those tanks without a reg.

2k6er....lol. so, i have seen the newer pure eneregy tanks, and there are smaller/lighter then the older 45/45's, which i have. if i replace the reg with a guerrilla air reg, will it make much of a difference? or is most of the weight in the bottle..

most of the wieght is the bottle. because of the size, you won't notice the small wieght difference, but holding just the regs, you will.

WOW! If you think that a 45 cu in carbon fiber tank is heavy then you really need to go lift some weights.

QFT stevo. i remember when the reg on my ACI Bulldog broke, by the way, horrible regs , i bought a GA FUKU reg and held the two. my god, you could now tell the difference in the weight immediately. the aci reg felt like a brick, at least 3-4 times heavier. i love my macdev legionair though.
