The Legend is a pretty much brand new concept. it runs at about 200 Psi. it uses a WAS board and Break Beam Eyes. its really light, about the same as an EGO. its about the same size as a Gen4 timmy.
here is a pic of my teamate useing it
i used it for the rest of the tourny after that game of him useing it. shoots made ropes, and super consistant

Is it actually a new concept/technology or is it just a Timmy or Ego clone?
I'm seeing just another regurgetated design in a less-than-imaginative body.

Looks like an ego and b2k4 had sex and out popped the legend. Kinda cool I guess.

something else too: it has no LPR, making it basically like an Impulse. super high ram operating pressure, probly some FSDO cause of this (of course ive never shot it so i dont know, just speculating) and probly not good for the kick either. comes with a nice reg and i think it looks pretty cool, very sleek. but im not sure its gonna be worth it, IMO you might as well put a CP reg and clamping feedneck on a Promaster and call it the same thing, and for less money. anyway looks like a cool gun, my point is it doesnt look exceptional for the price and its nothing new, unless it has some new internal stuff to set it apart from everything else.

spring assisted like a diablo wrath, as in spring returned, or blowback like a spider, or something new?

First off, let me clear up some misinformation.
For those of you that don’t know me,
My name is Glenn Forster, I played on Avalanche for 3 years, Dynasty for 3 and have coached Dynasty for the last two.
I own Warped Sportz LA
I’m starting a new company called “Infinity Paintball Products”
My partner in this new company is Dave Zinkham, The NPPL Scrutinizer.
Our V.P. of Sales is going to be CJ, formally from WDP
Our gun tech will be Jingle Rapiz
As you now have seen we are about to release our new gun called the “LEGEND”.
We have been working on this gun for a couple of years now and we now are in full production.
This weekend we took our first 10 guns off the assembly line out to the XPSL tournament to field test them and get input from tournament players.
We had to keep the gun a bit of a secret for a long time because we had to wait for our Patents to go through.
The gun will be ready for sale April 1st.
Everyone is invited to come shoot it at HB, we will have a Reeball both up for everyone to try.
Many specs on the gun are still secret but I can tell you this.
It weighs the same as an EGO
It has a similar feed neck as an Ego but Ego feed necks won’t fit on our gun.
We have tested the gun over the NPPL Robot at speeds above 23 bps.
The gun will shoot 50 bps but we can’t find a loader to feed paint fast enough
The gun was designed with perfect balance and it has almost no kick when firing it.
We have yet to do our final air efficiency test but so far it looks like we have the most air efficient gun on the market by far!
The gun takes Cocker barrel threads
The gun comes stock with a W.A.S. Board, but ours has a few extra features, NPPL mode, PSP mode, NXL mode, single clearing shot, adjustable D-Bounce down to tenths of a millisecond.
Internally the gun is completely different than any other gun.
We don’t have our pricing set yet so your just going to have to wait.
That’s all I’m going to let out into the public at this time.
I hope you can all come out to HB and shoot it for your self.
Glenn

this statement leads me to believe that it works like a spool valve with the air directed up through a separate bolt rather than out the front.
i guess thayt's the simplest way to describe what i'm thinking.
instead of the ram smacking a poppet to open it, the end of the ram would act as the poppet/cup seal (and probably also cut off the air flow from the hpr as well). the air is still directed upward through a bolt but the whole action is much smoother and would use less air.
I'M NOT SAYING THAT I KNOW HOW THIS MARKER WORKS OR THAT THE IDEA I'M PROPOSING IS THE ONE BEHIND THIS MARKER, JUST A POSSIBILITY.

^so like in other words the ram and poppet would be all one piece. so the ram itself would move through the valve to open and close it, instead of hitting a valve stem which would open the valve instead.

i shot the gun myself and i wasnt really impressed. It sure is fast, but IMO, it just didnt feel right in my hands. Although some of you guys might disagree, but i think you definately have to get used to this marker in order to start liking it at once. Other than that, the marker was loud i thought, but very fast, light, and accurate.

the frame dosent look very comforable, but neither does an alien interceptor frame, and they're real nice.

its funny how only like the southern californian paintblalers know what this is.
i tried this gun out in bears cup, and i was very impressed for a brand new gun. frame feels ok. it is veyr light, i think a bit lighter than an ego6. its cocker threaded. it comes stock with a cp reg. the trigger looks and feels likes a critical trigger. the the grips are totally different from anything else you have seen. the gun isnt loud, but it isnt quiet. i think its a bit more quiet than an ego6. the gun is small. it also shoots ropes. it is accurate. i used some old paint through it, and it shot thenm fine. i think i might buy one as my backup gun.

I really like that spool idea, very possible.
I was thinking an air assist valve with an ultra low mass ram.
