Post to anyone looking at the sp360 QEV

mine just came in today and i just wanted to let everyone know..if you want a perfect fit, your gonna have to put in some dremel time... about 15 minutes worth.. but nothing too hard though...
but if you dont want to dremel anything, the gap is small enough to be negligable.. so no worries

if you guys want me to, ill post an actual performance review on sunday

but anyways, hope this helps someone

the trigger frame
you have to dremel a dip into the frame so there no gap
the QEV itself, is just a tad taller than the stock banjo fitting, so if you want a perfectly flush fit, the you have to dremel it
actually i take back my statement about leaving it...i just remembered that because the body was sitting up a bit, it made screw in the screws much harder to actually screw in..

**im using a stock body...well im using a stock-like body, i ordered the red body kit from SP

Interesting. I wonder if you got a bad one or if SP was stupid enough to release a part for a gun that it doesn't fit in properly. lol.

i really dont see how i could get a bad one because it looks perfect, so i highly doubt the possibility of poor machining

you can see a tiny gap if you hold it up towards some light but nothing would be able to get in it except for maybe some dust particles

mine fit perfectly and fyi those that have had these problems before simply didnt tighten the qev down hard enough. Since its a banjo you dont have to worry as much about over torquing (sp?). But then again it may have just been poor machining on sp's part with the frame.

I had the same gap problem with my Ion. Stock body. I made sure that I had my 360 fully tightened before resorting to drilling a dimple in my frame. Now theres no gap at all.

Most likely the housing swiveled to the side and prevented it from screwing down all the way. Try it again.

I have four Ions and a 360 qev in each one. Never had to do anything to make them fit. Maybe you miss threaded it. To answer the next question...... "why do you have four"........ I am a tournament player, I play every weekend, and you never know what can happen at a tournament.
