max flo bypassing regulator.

Can I bypass a inline regulator with a LP maxflo tank regulator? If so how consistant would this be?

I dont know too much about maxflos, are they adjustable or preset?

if they are preset then the output will most likely be around 400psi which is WAY too high to run into the gun, if they are adjustable you could turn it down to the operating pressure and try it out...

I know the Hp output is 800, and your getting a LP maxflow I believe would still be to much pressure going into the gun

I use an OLLLLLD max-flo with just a gas-thru grip and it works great. Make you have the LP spring in it and you're fine. Mine is probably +/- 7fps at worst with cheap paint.

there is no reason it shouldn't work if the Maxxy is LP.

I have a Manifold LP Max Flo on my tank running through a CP gas thru and it works great. I have consistencies in the +-3 fps at 280. It is really useful when your a little over or under at a field because it is so easy to make a small change and clamp it down and your ready to go!

and just fyi if your o ring on your on/off ever starts to leak you can take the endcap completely off and it will turn your output presure to 0 so it will hold air and you not have to worry about having pressure constantly going to your gun.

As long as it is not the max flo micro the LP has an output from 100 to 240psi ( perfect for the Ion :-) ) and the HP reg has an output of 300 to 1000psi.

Basically, it's strongly suggested that you use a gas-thru if you're using a LP tank system on the gun. Most of the time you'll encounter dropoff if you use the vertical reg, even if you turn it all the way up.
