SA team to play as nexus

This was taken from SAPAINTBALL.INFO

Marseille, next stop for SA team

International.-
Is nothing sacred? You know that feeling you get when you’re trying to park your car and 7 million car guards swarm around to get in on the action? Well, just when the Europeans thought they’d get their little Champions Leagues settled in this year, in step the SA boyz.

Reaper Evil Legion will be heading over to Marseille France next month to compete in the first Champion League event of 2006. But, if you’re going to try and follow their progress on the roster you won’t be able to find them. The team’s dropping their regular Black and Yellow garb to don Nexus uniforms.

London Nexus will be competing in the NPPL’s Huntington Beach event on the same date making it impossible for them to attend the Marseille event. Pete Robinson (Manager/Owner of Nexus) brokered a deal with the Coach (Keith Morris) and made it possible for Reaper to represent Nexus in France.

This will be the first time that a full South-African team competes on a Pro-level (as well as in an X-ball format).

More news from the Reaper camp is that the Coach went out scouting and picked up two new players to fill up their ranks. Mark Gilbert (Dragore/Evolution) and Werner Puchert (Evolution) has joined the Reaper Evil Legionnaires roster effective immediately.

More on this and their visit to Europe to follow.

I think this is great. It shows how paintball has expanded over the world. I'm sure Robbo would only pic a great team to put on the Nexus Jersey!

I'm EXCITED

Leigh. - Have you ever tried biting one of your ears and clapping at the same time.

It works best in a crowded place but just as well in the mirror.

Let me know how you get on hombre!!

Congrat to the REAPERS, Ive seen some/most of these guys play and they got game. Enjoy your first outing in the Champions League guys!!

I can't help but think there was some malicious intent on Millenium's part in scheduling the CPL event the same week as HB.

Actually it wasn't like that. Both leagues were originally scheduled to play the same weekend so the Millennium moved their tournament date to a week later. The NPPL had a problem and decided to change their date to a week later without knowing the Mill had already done so. Neither could change the venue dates again so a terrific team from South Africa will be playing the Millennium for Nexus.

Hey eveyone, thanks for the good wishes and support, as you can well imagine this is a fairly big event for the team and it has been a crazy few weeks preparing for the tournament.

I heard that the Nexus guys had a good practice with one of our players in France, 00Steve, now you will get to see the rest of the team in action!

Looking forward to meeting all the Nexus guys next weekend for training in Dartford and then it is off to France. Please come and say Hi if you see us in Marseille, would be great to meet you all.

Diane, thanks for the support as always, now it is time for Tony and the boys to uphold their side of the deal and win HB!

Clint....please don't forget my post practice pm.
Mark....Tony and the team will give it their all. Don't know if I can say the same for Robbo though.
We are sooo excited about this year and all that has taken place during the off season. Everyone is staying pretty quiet but I will say one thing for sure, Nexus fans are going to like what they see!!
