Regarding bottles used in Mill. by american teams
How do you do this since only PI bottles are allowed? (US standard is DOT)

They probably use Luxfer bottles which are Pi certified as well as DOT...

Are you sure about that? I just checked a empire fuel HP and a nitroduck x-stream, both of which use luxfer bottles. Both of them are DOT only.

Uhm, I appreciate the help but I can`t find any reference to the bottles having both standards of certification on them.. Only that the company get their bottles certified by PI and DOT for the separate markets, euro and us marked..?
Explain if you can..

as far as I know, Luxfer has fulfilled the requirements for both the DOT exemption and Pi certificate. Tanks are not certified when they leave the production line - the whole production proccess is subject to an inspection from time to time, and end products are checked out periodically.
As long as the tank has both the DOT Exemption and the Pi certificate on the sticker - it's good to use in both the US and EU. The thing is, that Luxfer didn't get the pi certification on their own. The rumor is, that it has been partially paid for by PMI in exchange for an exclusive dealership contract, as only they have those pi/DOT tanks on sale (Pure Energy).
I'll try to find you a picture of one with both the pi and the DOT.

That would make a little more sense since none of the luxfer bottles I`ve checked have both certificates.. But I don`t have access to any pure energys right now..

^^^no they wont. Its the only tournament I've ever been to where it is actually checked. You get tagged, without tag you cant fill your bottles.
