Random Imgs taken this week(1/16-1/20)

Definately nothing fantastic

Taken out of my work van's window on Canal Street in Chocolate City Just thought the colors were interesting.

Shot taken from a pier next to a house I was working at. Tilted horizon and lense flare - nice eh? I guess I could fix it...

Dunno if they are loons or ducks, but taken at a golf course water hazard bordering a house I was working at.

Eating my lunch along Pensacola Bay, I nabbed this shot.

I like the first two a lot, those buildings have a real artsy painter feel to them, and I've always been a sucker for ocean shots.

As for the last one, I would've liked it a lot better had it not been gloomy (obviously not your fault) and had you zoomed a bit closer and captured the bird's eyes and majestic features (though you probably didn't have the lense for it.) Bird shots are hard if you don't have the right equipment and unless I traveled to the Washington Zoo or something, I'd be hardpressed to capture any decent shot with the only the x4 zoom that accompanies my A610.

I wish you had a tighter crop on the blue building and that you had exposed it a little better.

#'s 2 is nice, #1 and #4 are okay. New Orleans is a great place for photography.

I can critique every one of these photos to death to be honest. They just happen to be the best I've taken this week. Obviosly I haven't taken many Weather has been quite nasty as of late. Thinking about going to the beach anyway...?

Shot from inside my van in traffic, the building caught my eye and I whipped out the cam with a quickness. I probably would have composed it quite a bit differently had I been on the ground walking. I cropped it a bit as is to ditch most of a blown out sky, it was late in the day and the building was in shadows. I don't like to crop too much, just wastes pixels. It'd be nice if I had just composed it well from the get-go.

Gloomy day makes for a grey shot. Shot taken w/Sigma 55-200 on the longer end. In certain locations, this lense, and my 40-150 lense are just fine for bird shots. Check some out here. I will be getting a faster 50-200ZD lense and probably a 1.4TC by the end of the year for a bit more speed, more sharpness, and a bit more reach. At this particular location, the birds didn't have a reason to come in closer. I wanted the composure with the pier anyway.
