Humphrey

Notice the red test button in the middle of the body. Also, it will have a Humphrey sticker on the other side if you take it out.

MAC

Notice the different test button location, as well as the MAC sticker.

yea thats my gun with the humprhey noid. The test buttom is actually red not orange. (My camera just sux

)

Fixed.

I wasn't going by your picture, I was actually going by memory from my own. So, of course I had to go check mine. I have both fluorescent and incandescent lighting in my marker dungeon, so depending on angles and location, colors aren't always the same.

The Humphrey noid is considered the "better" one but both are fine.

i would say they would both be good but i dont think mac makes them anymore? is that right humphrey noids are more common
now to why i posted:

i am the 3rd owner of my viking its serial # is A00366, okay my friend was the second owner he said when he bought it from the original owner he said it had the mac noid, well he seemed to know alot about the gun so i didnt question it. well today i took it apart for the first time after i saw this thread.
I found out that they were both wrong and i do infact have the humphrey noid.

I was just wondering how an older 03 viking had this noid? i thought they were only used on the very last run of the 03s?

also the gun was never milled for the hump noid, the hump noid is the original because the anno is still there underneath, im just curious i guess

yeah same here my viking is A00755 and im the 3rd owner too but i checked mine again today and i got humphrey.....

How do you use the test button? What test is it for?

The test button activates a sensor that will tell you how much radiation you have absorbed by using humphre noids

Which is why it's best to wear full fingered gloves when playing with an AKA marker. Also because of the fact that touching AKA to bare skin almost always results in a full erection, which can be embarassing on the field and should not be used as a rudder when sliding into the snake...

The test button allows you to check if the noid is indeed cycling. If you push the button and your noid cycles (with air), move on to the next item on your troubleshoot list.

Just for the record. I work for Mac Valves Inc. The solenoid you are showing is older technology( 44 Series).The new technology available is the 43 and 33 Series solenoid valves. They are slightly smaller than the Humphrey and slightly faster. Do yourself a favor and contact your local Mac Valves distributor in your area for more info.You might like what you see.

Are the new MAC only useable if you have metal barbs? Because i saw on WAS's site it works for timmys, and now lucky has a board for the ion that uses barbs, and i think they have the new mac on there.

Word on the streets is that it wouldn't work in a Viking or Excal. Are you telling us different?

yeah that is what i heard aswell. Has anyone tried to put a new mac on their vik or excal?
