O.K. sorry bout the long time btween post and reply i just joined the forum.
I own a Raptor and persnally any problems i had were completely due to my upgrades and not installing them correctly, or not reassembling the gun correctly. But, if you ever take the detent wire out you may have chop a lot because that wire is very picky on how it is shaped and how tight it is screwed in. But my Raptor has never broke down on me when i needed it. Even when my cocker was down the raptor was there to back it up. personally if your looking to buy a gun the raptor is the way to go over a spyder. but the spyder forum will say to buy a spyder so it all depends on you.

I shoot a modified L.P. Green Raptor. NO PROBLEMS!!
I always hear the "other" preferences tear down BE. My
opinion, of my marker...IT ROCKS!! As stated, I can always
rely on MY BE. And I also can not believe that there are only 2 decent BE markers built by this corporation. My like for BE is strong enough, that I will be acquiring a Painmaker by spring. If you have not heard of it, check out:
www.hardwarz.com, impressive marker. I don't care for electros, but that is what the custom board is for.NO auto for me.

Stick to your opinion...its one of the few things that is ALL yours. If you like a Raptor, so be it. MOST opinions from people, come from people that have no basis for there opinion. Such as, "I have a buddy that", or " My buddy heard that". See what I mean? Unless YOU have hands on info, everybody else's opinion, DOES NOT MATTER! I have found this 100 % accurate in this sport, as I have found it in my day-to-day business. (automobile dealership)
Hope this helps,

i wasnt changing or forming my opinion on raptors based on what a friend said or did. i think that BE guns in general are ok guns...just because he screwed his up doesnt mean i dont like them or have a problem with them...i just wanted to see if any one was having any problems with them. ya know.

No prob. Just wanted to make sure you were not influenced by an opinion that had no basis. It all comes back to a basic statement that I can not prove wrong.
" Believe None of what you hear, and HALF of what you see"
Has always worked for me, and many MANY more.

Well is the Avenger better than the Raptor? In Canada it's about $20 (something around that) cheaper

Not many people have them yet, so there really is not an opinion yet.

Well, the raptor has a lot of good qualities: it is simple a newbie could figure out how it works on his own, they are actually very reliable if you treat them right, and they are actually fst and pretty accurate.
