horrible NME efficiency
Hey, i just got a new NME and out of teh box it has terrible efficency. The regs are set exactly how the manual says, and im thinking that the regs arent broken in yet. for an example, it was like 800 shots off about 2 tanks filled to roughly 3000-3500. thats basically 800 shots out of 6500 psi. its stock right out of the box, so its not broken. can the brand new regs cause this bad efficiency? what else could i do to help? is the dwell properly set out of teh box?

no its was 2 tanks, one filled to 300 and one filled to 4500 and tehy were both 68/4500. about 500-600 was with paint, the other 200-300 was dry fireing. even thuogh 800 off of 6500 psi is horrible.

dude dry fireing 200-300 times wont drain that much air. about the lpr, the gun with a all american freak sounded very quiet. i just figured ti was the gun and cause the freak had tons of porting. the manual says lpr should be set to 90-100 psi which is right where it is. where should it be set at?

Your LPR really shouldn't be between 90-100. but then are a lot of other variables that come into play.
I've heard that you can up your LPR to increase your FPS but on mine it doesn't work that way. I say turn down as low as possible.
Dry firing does burn air like crazy though. more so that you think.

lets just say when I first got my nme and we were dry firing it I would drain 2500 psi on a 68 bottle with about 300 shots so ya it will. When you have paint and a fill of 3000 on a 68 bottle I would say roughly 1400 shots. Now 4500 fill right about 2000 shots. When you dry file use just block the bolt from moving very much and you can go all day long.

You can never gauge efficiency by dry firing.
Now, if you were shooting paint, then something is definately wrong.

about 500-600 out of about 800 were paintballs. the rest was dry fireing. 200 dry fire shots should not do that much.

Yeah but you also have to figure that if you're shooting fast you're going to drain even more air than just one-balling it.

dunno, call system x, it sounds like a serious prolem. i got everything dialed in and im getting fantastic efficiancy, off an 68/4500, I get around a hopper and 8 pods. around 1200-1400 shots.
