Hey all... I was tired of that spongey stock switch, so i decided to make it less so. This created a problem: It didn't return fast enough. I know that the magnet mod does the same thing, but I decided to make a ghetto mod that takes like ten minutes and doesn't cost any money.
The idea was based on The_Real_Doughboy's, so thanks to him.
This mod is pretty straightforward. I disassembled my frame not knowing what was gonna happen or how much room I'd need, but you could probably complete this mod without that. Anyway, go find a pen spring or another suitable spring. Next, go find a nut pretty close to the size of the width of the trigger (or the slot it stays in). Here's where you can ghetto mod or permanant mod.
For the Ghetto mod, wrap the nut a couple times in electrical tape or apply about two lavers of tape to each side of the slot, then wedge it in there on top of the microswitch. The great thing about this method is you can slide the nut up and down with pliers until you find the desired tension. If it comes loose, put more tape on it
The permanant mod is basically super gluing the nut in place rather than taping it. To find desired tension, either gheto mod it first, or put the nut up pretty close and trim the spring until satisfied.
