Not really. You could search and find the answer, this topic has been covered 1032802384 times before. (Search with google, and if you don't know how to do that, someone else will answer this)

Yeah it should be on this forum I saw it a while back.......I think the biggest reason they stopped doing it was because of how difficult it was to do. There needed to be a lot of parts for just a few finished pieces to be made...thus it economically it wasnt sound to do it anymore. Who would anno a 100 markers just get 10 that were right?

Technically it's not even ano. It's spectrum physical vapor deposition, they use 40k volts of juice to deposit a thin layer of ionized titanium onto the gun.

I get a very similar result when stripping nickel with 20 amps.

Not nearly as vibrant, though.

^ Yep.

When you strip chrome/nickel you run alot of current through the part and hang it in a strong (relatively) electrolyte. For some reason, when the nickel is removed it leaves a rainbowish hue on the service of the aluminum. The hue polishes/strips off just fine.

It reminded me of aurora, is all.

I was referring to Conquerors post, I thought they made that finish using ionized chrome, not titanium.

I've not seen the process done with chrome before, though you may be correct. I've seen similar aurora finishes on custom knives, etc. in the past, and those were SPVD titanium.
