if a ball breaks on the inside of your hopper it might look like a hit to the ref and he might pull you. it may not matter much to the ref but i would be pissed. to keep the confusion to a minumum the clear hopper are just not allowed. plus its nppl rules.
My thanks to everyone who has helped and is still helping, LVP.

if they are using nppl rules as ccpl did, only one sticker is allowed on each side of the hopper as well

keep this is in mind because i was not told this at CCPL until 5 minutes before our first game.

for those of us who have a lot of stickers on our hoppers, it takes a lil while to get them off

if you have a clear or heavily stickered hopper, tape over the whole hopper in some kind of tape and you should be ok

The best thing to do with any rules questions is when you arrive at the facility - ask Tony Savage - the Ultimate - that way it would not be a problem later.

Well a few things, Clear hoppers tend to also hide hits as well.

My only issue with this at the GPL event is they allowed the yellow Halos, but not clear and the yellows were made for hiding hits of yellow paint Real good thinking on that one !

Oh well, I got lucky as I have 3 clear halos, I didnt think a local event would be that hard on hoppers, but I was a last minute fill in for a team, and I, to this point have only played PSP events. I had to rape someones busted Halo for shells.

Yellow Halos

I was not going to allow them but due to so many people having them and not enough shells to replace them all I had to allow them to be used. Also the NPPL does allow the yellow halos to be used at this time, I am sure that will be changed soon also as many teams are purchasing them for that reason. Depending on color of paint for next event there will be an announcement 2 weeks before the event on what colors will be not be allowed. As for now there will be no clear hoppers allowed.
